I was delighted to be chosen with Birmena to be part of the British Team for the Veteran European Championships for the second year in succession. This time it was in Darmstadt in Germany. It was another fantastic experience and the Championship was extremely competitive. Birmena was fantastic, I was nominated to jump first again for the team and we managed to jump 3 out of 4 clear rounds. The team were placed 4th, just missing out on a medal and Birmena and I were placed 6th, best of the Brits. It took place the week our late Queen died, it made us all very proud to be British and we all wore black armbands to show our respect. It is a very special experience being part of a team and it is one to treasure.
