Lincoln Stud at Hickstead: A Week to Remember at the Royal International Horse Show
Published: July 2025

Last week, we were proud to have several Lincoln Stud horses and riders competing at the iconic Hickstead showground for the Agria Royal International Horse Show. It was a fantastic few days filled with great rounds, promising young talent, and a brilliant atmosphere.

Ashmolean, with Anne Nelson in the saddle, jumped two lovely rounds in the Newcomers, building on their partnership with confidence and style.

Our exciting 4-year-olds really stepped up in the main ring:

  • Colja, owned by Hannah Lipczynski, was placed in the British Novice and showed great composure throughout.

  • Little Des Florets, owned by Breen Equestrian, also picked up a placing in the BN, looking very grown-up for his age.

  • Limited Touch delivered some very encouraging rounds in the British Novice and continues to develop nicely.

Olivia Taplin’s horses had a great week too:

  • Z7 Calmini placed in the 1m Open, continuing a strong run of form.

  • Z7 Merrylegs jumped confidently in the 1m, gaining more experience in the ring and catching a few eyes in the process.

Rounding things off, Westpoint Grandure tackled the 1.20 Opens with class. He’s really starting to shine at this level and looks ready for more.

We’re so proud of all the horses, riders, owners, and support teams who helped make this week such a success. Hickstead is always a special place to compete, and it was great to see so many positive performances across the board.
